•Thepowercableforeachunitinyoursystemshouldberunas
aseparate,singlelengthof2-wirecablefromtheunittothe
vessel'sbatteryordistributionpanel.
•Raymarinerecommendsaminimumwiregaugeof18AWG
(0.82mm

•Regardlessofthelengthofthecableextension,anycable
usedshouldbecapableofachievingaminimumvoltageat
theunitof10.8Vwithafullyatbatteryat11V.

Raymarinerecommendsthatallpowerconnectionsaremade
viaadistributionpanel.
•Allequipmentmustbepoweredfromabreakerorswitch,with
appropriatecircuitprotection.
•RefertotheBreakers,fusesandcircuitprotectionsectionfor
specicfuseandthermalbreakerratingsforthisproduct.

Theunitcanbegroundedbyconnectingtheshield(drain)wire
ofthepowercabletothevessel'sRFgroundpoint.Onvessels
withoutanRFgroundsystemtheshield(drain)wireshouldbe
connecteddirectlytothenegativebatteryterminal.
Thedcpowersystemshouldbeeither:
•Negativegrounded,withthenegativebatteryterminal
connectedtothevessel'sground.
•Floating,withneitherbatteryterminalconnectedtothe
vessel'sground
