Whenselectingalocationforyourtransduceritisimportantto
consideranumberoffactors.
Thetransducershouldbemountedwithintheclearwaterowareas
indicatedbytheshadedareasintheimagebelow.

Eachtransducershouldalso:
•Beaheadofthepropellers(byaminimumof10%ofthewater
linelength).
•Beatleast150mm(6in)awayfromthekeel(ideallyaheadofthe
keelonasailingyacht).
•Beasnearaspossibletothecenterlineofthevessel.
•Beclearofotherthrough-hullttingsorprojections.
•Havesufcientclearanceinsidethehulltotthenut.
•Have100mm(4in)ofheadroomtoallowforwithdrawal.
Note:Inadditiontotheaboverequirements,thedepthtransducer
mustbemountedwithin10ºofthevertical.
