Ifthebackbonelengthis60m(197ft)orless,the
powerconnectionpointmaybeconnectedatanypoint
inthebackbone.
Largesystems
Ifthebackbonelengthisgreaterthan60m(197ft),
thepowerconnectionpointshouldbeconnectedata
pointthatcreatesabalancedcurrentdrawfromeach
sideofthebackbone.TheLoadEquivalencyNumber
(LEN)isusedtodeterminethepowerconnectionpoint
forthesystem.
IntheexampleabovethesystemhasanoverallLENof
10,sotheoptimumconnectionpointwouldbetohave
5LENeithersideoftheconnectionpoint.
