•Themountingsurfaceshouldbeflatsothattransducersitsflushagainstthehull.
•Wheninstallingsplit-pairtransducerswithangledelements,youmustensurethatthehull’s
deadriseangleatthechosenmountinglocationisappropriatefortheselectedtransducers.
•Whenfittingtoahullwithakeel,ensurethatthetransducerbeamwillnotbeobstructedbythe
keel.Ifthetransducercannotbefittedforeoraftofthekeelthenusesplitpairtransducersto
overcometheobstruction.
•Thetransducersshouldbeinstalledawayfromanyprotrusionssuchasothertransducers,steps,
ribs,strak es,orrowsofrivets.
•Transducersshouldbeinstalledinalocationwherenoloadwillbeappliedtothetransducers
during,launching,lifting,traileringandstorageoftheboat.
