• S1 WheelPilot does not contain a builtin Gyro.
This can be upgraded with a dealerfitted Gyro plus unit to give the same func
tional ity as the S1 TillerPilot.

Extended systems
Y ou can connect the SmartPilot controller to other Raymarine SeaTalk equipment
so it can send and receive SeaT alk data:
• it can u se waypoint information from a SeaT alk navigation instrument to pro
vide track cont rol.
• it can use boat speed from a SeaT alk speed instrument to optimize trackkeep
ing perfo rmance.
• it can use wind information from a SeaT alk wind instrument for Wind V ane
steering.
Y ou can also use the SmartPilot with an y navigator or wind ins trument that
transmi ts National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) 0183 data.
T he SmartPilot contr ol unit can display SeaT alk and NMEA instrumen t data in a
userdefined selection of data pages .
