b) Checking the rotor blade holders
Do not overtighten the blade holder screws (2) so that the
two main rotor blades (1) can automatically align to each
otherata180°angleduringight.
When you tilt the model helicopter 90° to the side, the rotor
blades must be able to fold down by themselves.
Warning!
Do not loosen the blade holder screws too
much, otherwise the rotor blades tracking will
no longer be correct and the blade tips will ro-
tate at different heights.
Caution!
Use the supplied hex screwdriver to tighten the
screws and make sure that you do not use too
much force. The threads or the screw material
may be damaged otherwise.
c) Checking the rotor function
Carefully turn the main rotor several revolutions with your
nger.
The gears of the gear stage must mesh easily and must
not jam or hook in any position.
The rotor shaft must be absolutely straight so that the rotor
head does not generate any vibrations when turning.
The tail rotor must turn easily and must not run out of true.
The maximum possible ight time can only
be achieved if the mechanics work absolutely
smoothly. Even the slightest sluggishness can
shortentheighttimedrastically.
