22. Troubleshooting
This model and the remote control were built using the latest technology. However, faults and malfunction may still
occur. The following section shows you how to troubleshoot potential problems.
Problem Solution
The transmitter does not respond. • Check the batteries in the transmitter (polarity) or replace them.
• Check the function switch.
The transmitter LED ashes and the
transmitter beeps.
• Replace the batteries in the transmitter.
Helicopter battery charging time is very
short.
• USB port amperage is too low.
• Replace the helicopter battery.
The rotors do not start. • Check the helicopter battery charge level.
• Check that the mechanical drive parts can move freely.
• Repeat the power on procedure.
The helicopter does not take off. • Checktheightbatterychargelevel.
• Check that the mechanical drive parts can move freely.
• Check the rotor blades.
The helicopter does not respond to the
remote control.
• Repeat the power on procedure.
• Avoid interference from other 2.4 GHz transmitters.
The helicopter rotates about the verti-
cal axis (rotor shaft).
• Trim the model (see Figure 14).
• Repeat the power on procedure and ensure that you do not move or
rotate the helicopter.
• Check that the tail rotor runs smoothly and functions properly.
• Calibrate position sensors.
• Check the rotor blades.
Theighttimeistooshort • Recharge the helicopter battery (ensure that the USB port has suf-
cientcurrent).
• The helicopter battery is faulty.
• The mechanical parts cannot move freely.
Model always drifts in one direction. • Calibrate position sensors.
• Trim the helicopter.
• Unfavourableightconditions(draught).
The model vibrates strongly in the air. • The rotors are defective.
• The motor shaft of the main or tail rotor is bent.
• Rotor blades are overtightened.
• The gear jams in places.
