Error code: EC
Reason: The evaporator probe T2 measures the actual value with the compressor start and takes
this as the reference value T
Start
. If, 5 minutes after the compressor start, the value T
Start
has not dropped by 2 °C for at least 4 seconds then the system assumes that the refrig-
erant is low
. The measurement is performed a total of 3 times before the display shows the
error code "EC".
Cause:
n Refrigerant low or cooling circuit blocked
n Evaporator probe T2 defective
n Indoor unit control board defective
Switch off voltage, switch on again 2 minutes
later. Is the error still present?
YES
Check whether the indoor unit blows out cold
air

Check the position and function of the evapo-
rator probe T2. Is it correctly seated and with
the correct resistance?
NO
YES
Check the cooling circuit for leaks. Did you find
a leak?
Exchange the control boards of the indoor unit.
YES
Remedy leaks and put the unit back into opera-
tion.

Check the cooling circuit for any blockages. Are
the shut-of
f valves on the outdoor unit open?
