Daytime running lights
Rotate the ring

until the "AUTO"
symbol is opposite the mark

The daytime running lights come on
automatically (without any action on
the stalk

) when the engine is started
and they switch off when the engine is
switched off.
Side lights
Turn the ring

until the symbol
is opposite the mark

. This indicator
light on the instrument panel comes
on.
Note: depending on the vehicle, the
sidelightscanonlybeactivatedmanu-
ally when the parking brake is applied
or, depending on the vehicle, when the
gear lever is in the P position.
Otherwise, the "Unavailable position
lights"messageisdisplayedonthein-
strument panel to inform you that it is
not possible to activate the side lights.

Before driving at night,
check that the electrical
equipment is operating
correctly and adjust the
headlight beams (if your vehicle is
not carrying its normal load). As a
general precaution, check that the
lights are not obscured (by dirt,

ported).
