Towing: breakdown
Before towing, set the gearbox to N
position, unlock the steering column
then release the parking brake.
Thespeedspecifiedbycurrentlegisla-
tionfortowingmustalwaysbeob-
served.
If you are driving the towing vehicle, do
not exceed the maximum towing
weight for your vehicle 🡺382.
To recover a vehicle on a flatbed or
tow the vehicle using a towing point,
observe the following instructions:
– withthecardinthepassengercom-
partment,presstheenginestartbut-
ton;
– position the lever in N 🡺163posi-
tion: the steering column is unlocked
and the parking brake is released;
– press the engine Start button for
morethantwoseconds.Theacces-
sories functions are supplied: you can
usethevehiclelightingfunctions(di-
rection indicators, brake lights, etc.). At
night the vehicle lights must be on;
– once you have finished towing,
press the engine start button for more
than two seconds (risk of discharging
the battery).

hicle as they may be
projected during braking.
Towingavehiclefittedwithanau-
tomatic gearbox
Transport the vehicle on a trailer or tow
it with the front wheels off the ground.

only be transported with the wheels off
the ground.
Do not leave the tools
unsecuredinsidetheve-
hicle as they may be

Only use the front

They must never be used for lifting the
vehicle directly or indirectly.

stopped, steering and
braking assistance are
