348 - Practical advice
The kit is only approved
for inflating the tyres of
the vehicle originally
equipped with the kit.
It must never be used to inflate
the tyres of another vehicle, or
any other inflatable object (rubber
ring, rubber boat, etc.).
Avoidspillageonskinwhenhan-
dling the repair product bottle. If
droplets do leak out, rinse them
off with plenty of water.
Keeptherepairkitawayfromchil-
dren.
Donotdisposeoftheemptybot-
tle in the countryside. Return it to
yourapproveddealerortoarecy-
cling organisation.
The bottle has a limited service
life which is indicated on its label.
Check the expiry date.
Contactanapproveddealertore-
place the inflation tube and repair
product bottle.
Depending on the vehicle, in the event
ofapuncture,usethekitlocatedun-
derneaththemovablefloorinthelug-
gage compartment.
Vehicle fitted with a tyre pressure
loss warning system
Intheeventofunder-inflation(punc-
tures, under-inflation etc.), the
warninglightappearsontheinstru-
ment panel 🡺183.
With the engine running and the
parking brake applied:
disconnect any accessories that are
connected to the vehicle's accessories
sockets;
onvehiclesfittedwithatowingde-
vice, disconnect the towbar socket if
needed;
see the information on the infla
tion kit compressorlocatedintheve-
hicle luggage compartment and follow
the instructions for use;
inflate the tyre to the recommended
pressure 🡺346;
after a maximum of 15 minutes, stop
inflating and read the pressure (on the
pressure gauge
1
).
Note: while the container is empty
ing (approximately 30 seconds), the
pressure gauge
1
will briefly indi
cate a pressure up to 6 bar, then the
pressure drops;
adjust the pressure.
If the recommended pressure of 1.8
bar cannot be achieved after 15 min
utes, repair is impossible. Do not
drive the vehicle. Consult an ap
proved dealer.
