Vent Condensate Drain Installation
NOTE: In Canada, all PVC vent pipe must be approved to ULC S636.
• A 4-inch PVC cleanout cap that is drilled and tapped for a 1/2-inch NPT fitting is furnished with the heater for the
vent drain. All other material must be field-supplied.
• Instructions for installing a condensate drain connection with a vertical vent (US INSTALLATIONS ONLY) using
the factory-provided 4-inch PVC cap are shown in Figure 19.
• Instructions for installing a condensate drain connection with a vertical vent (US OR CANADIAN INSTALLATIONS)
using field-supplied vent and drain components are shown in Figure 20.
• Instructions for installing a condensate drain connection with a vertical or horizontal vent (US INSTALLATIONS
ONLY) in a horizontal vent run using the factory-provided 4-inch PVC cap are shown in Figure 21.
• Instructions for installing a condensate drain connection with a vertical or horizontal vent (US OR CANADIAN
INSTALLATIONS) using field-supplied vent and drain components are shown in Figure 22.
• Ensure that the drain trap is in accordance with Figure 17.
