2.2 ERROR CODE LIST
A011 ERROR CODE
Flame Not Detected From Flame Rod.
Air Filter
Check with the air filter at the inlet air
connection of the water heater that
airflow is not blocked. If the air filter
is blocked, clean the air filter and re-
move debris and or blockages.
Venting
Check the condition of venting (Ex
The connections of vents, the terminal
vent top). If the connection of venting
is removed or the terminal vent top is
blocked, reconnect the vents or clean
the terminal vent top (Both inlet side
and exhaust side)
Refer to section “1.1.2 Venting for di-
rect vent water heat” in this manual or
refer to U&C manual for installation in-
structions.
Igniter rod (Spark is not visible)
If the spark is not visible through the
sight glass, refer to the following steps
to check igniter rod and coil.
ERROR CODE DIAGNOSTICS
Turn Power OFF
Remove & reinsert white molex connec-
tor on left of Igniter coil & black insulated
igniter cable on igniter rod. And remove and
reinsert connector "C"
Turn power ON and operate unit.
Unit has a loose connection.
Igniter is OK.
Replace the control board
Replace igniter coil and Igniter rod
While attempting to ignite.
Measure AC volts across two gray wires on
connector "C"
Turn power OFF.
Remove and clean igniter rod.
And them, reassemble it and operate unit.
Igniter rod needed to be cleaned.
If error code "A011" is appeared, check for
flame rod.
