RFID
The AIO has a RFID IC [A].
The RFID stores some
data which can be
checked by SP mode. (SP
7-931 – see next slide.)
This data is used to
calculate the amount of
toner remaining in the
toner tank.
The RFID chip is also
used to detect whether the
cartridge is installed.
The RFID chip transmits
& receives data to/from
the RFID board [B].
RFID = Radio Frequency Identification
This small RFID is not just a tag. It stores information that allows the AIO to be
transferred to another machine. (Access the RFID data via SP7-931-1 to SP7-
931-23.)
