1. On both sides of the pit wall, mark 3 1/4 in (85 mm)
back from the front of the pit. This should
approximately be the end of the steel pit angle.
2. Align side seal with mark. If side seal is taller than the
pit depth (A), it will need to be trimmed. To trim, flip
the side seal so the bottom of side seal (B) is on the
top. Mark the bottom of the side seal (C) at the top of
the pit, then trim off excess.
3. Mark a minimum of 3 hole locations (D) for the side
seal anchors, two near the top and one near the
bottom, on opposite sides of the side seal. Drill and
anchor the side seal with 1/4 in x 1-1/4 in concrete
anchors (supplied by others).
4. Repeat these steps on opposite side of pit.

1. Attach the main curtain to the hook and loop fastener
on the 3ply top section. Mark the center on top
section (E) and align the top of the Rite-Hite diamond
with the center mark.
2. Clip shock cords as required:
• Installation/Maintenance;
Clip shock cords (G1) from the back of the main
curtain to the O-rings (F) on the top section. This
holds the curtain out of the way while installing
remaining components.
• Operation;
Clip shock cords (G2) to O-rings (H) to put the main
curtain in the operating position.
