Setting up a Run for Purification of Genomic DNA from Whole Blood Samples

Preparing the Samples
In the tree view, select Internal Controls and click the icon on the right. The Internal Control
Configuration dialog box opens.
In the Name field, enter a name for the new internal control, in this example IC3.
In the Description field, enter a short description for the new internal control if you wish.
Click in the Protocols list and select the DNA Blood SV protocol to which the internal control is applied.
In the Test Volume list, select the internal control volume per reaction.
The internal control volume is fixed at 20 µl.
Click OK to save your settings. The dialog box closes and the IC3 internal control, defined in step 5, is
displayed in the table of the Settings dialog box.
Select the IC3 internal control and click the icon on the right. The Edit Internal Control Barcode dia-
log box opens.
In the Barcode field enter the barcode either
Manually or
With the handheld barcode scanner
