3 Repair
This chapter describes the design of the R&S FSP, simple measures for repair and troubleshooting and,
in particular, the replacement of modules. For troubleshooting and diagnostics, a selftest is available for
polling diagnostic voltages of the modules and detecting limit violations.
The firmware update and the installation of options are described in chapter 4 of this service manual.
Instrument Design and Function Description
A detailed schematic of the R&S FSP design is presented in the block diagrams below and in the
attachments (see also chapter 5).
The following functional description of the instrument refers to the block diagram.
