5.6. Fitting the connections
5.6.1. General information
Do not use the sedimentation tank until the inlet and outlet connections have been fully
connected and checked for leaks.
To avoid leaks and damage at the operating location, installation by a specialist is
recommended.
If the optionally available cover (Item 8) is used, it must be placed on the sedimentation tank
before the inlet connection is fitted.
5.6.2. Preparing the operating location
Step Description Illustration
Remove the existing trap under the sink (B).
Store the removed parts (B) carefully until further
use.
The existing plughole (strainer) in the sink drain
remains fitted (A).
The inlet connection from the sink to the
sedimentation tank is now open (A).
The drain connection to the sewage system is
also open (C).
The thread on the sink (A) should be 1 ½" or
1 ¼".
The drain pipe to the sewer (C) should have a
diameter of 40-50 mm.
Additional adapters, pipes, hoses or fitting
material are available at any DIY or plumbing
store.
