7.1. General notes on transport
Only use the designated handles on the main ring or the supplementary ring for extension or the stand for
transportation. Check the tensioning belts of the stainless steel kiln casing beforehand and tighten them
slightly if necessary. Do not lift the kiln by the kiln lid.
It may be necessary to dismantle the kiln to move it to its final operating position. This is not usually
necessary for smaller models.
However, it is easier to transport models from TE 60 upwards if the cover, rings and floor are disassembled.
Do not lift the furnace by the lid bracket in the area of the safety switch:
There is a risk of pulling the safety switch out of the round hole, which would affect its
functionality. If you pull the switch, this will cause the kiln to switch off and an error message
will be displayed.
If the lid is lifted and carried, the mechanism will warp and the lid will no longer be in the
optimum position in relation to the furnace body. A gap forms, the kiln lid must be re-adjusted
(see section 7.1.1).
7.2. Dismantle & assemble the kiln lid

Dismantle the kiln lid
1
Open the kiln cover.
2
Use a screwdriver to push the metal sleeve on the top of
the spring upwards.
3
Pull the gas-operated compression spring away from the
ball-shaped head. Have a second person to hold the lid
to prevent it from falling onto the main ring.
4
Now use a size 8 Allen key to loosen and remove the
two hexagon socket screws.
