FEATURES
M AX-1 Shoulder Keyboard is a MIDI Master Control Key-
board that can be used whenever there is need for a key-
board without tone generation. Thanks to the new GS
Control, it is possible to send bank messages (CC. 00 and
CC 32) to select “Variation” sounds during “live” per-
formance.
WB It has a shoulder-strap which allows the musician to use
it on stage freely.
W It has a 45-note dynamic sensitive keyboard and can easily
control one or more MIDI sound modules.
E It has two separate sections (Upper, Lower) which can be
either used separately or together, creating split or layer
situations.
W Its shape and use recall a guitar: the modulation or after-
touch, pitch bender and sustain controls have been insert-
ed onto its "neck", to enable the musician to perform
**guitar-style'" excerpts.
@ They consist of touch-sensitive buttons that control propor-
tionally the above mentioned parameters. This new way of
control enables maximum sensitivity.
E It provides 32 User Memory Patches easily recalled by me-
ins i the 16 buttons with LEDs, placed on the instrument’s

Each User Memory Patch contains independent settings of:
— Transmission MIDI Channel
Octave Down/Up
Transpose On/Off and value of transposition
CC 00
CC 32 ) sound chosen for each section
Rotative Data Entry Control Assignment
Transmission filters for controls (Modulation, Pitch
Bender, Sustain)
— Dynamic curve
— Assignement of the expression bar to Modulation or Af-
ter Touch
— Volume of Sound assigned to section Upper
— Volume of Sound assigned to section Lower
— Chorus Depth of section Upper
— Chorus Depth of section Lower
— Reverb Depth of section Upper
— Reverb Depth of section Lower
m M.I.D.I. is the acronym for Musical Instrument Digital In-
terface. It is a standardized interface by which all digital
musical instruments also equipped with MIDI connections
can exchange data. This means that your AX-1 can be used
as a MIDI control keyboard to control other MIDI devices.
