Connecting to a Computer
Direct Connection over a Wired LAN or Wireless LAN
Connecting Using a LAN Cable
1. Use a LAN cable to connect the M-5000’s LAN port and the computer.
2. At the LAN SETUP window (p. 13), tap <CONFIGURE>.
A popover appears.
3. Tap <MANUALLY>.
DHCP is disabled.
4. Make the settings for IP ADDRESS and SUBNET MASK.
5. Tap <OK>.
6. Make the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway settings for the computer.
Memo
If a network connection is not established, check the following items.
5 Check whether there is a conict with the IP address assigned to another device.
5 Check whether the computer’s rewall and security settings have been made correctly.
