Addition: Starting Output (P. 57)
The following details have been added as work to perform before starting output.
Before Starting Output
Remove just the pouch tray for the white ink, shake the pouch tray 50 times (about 20
seconds), and then reinsert this pouch tray.
The pouch trays for colors other than white do not need to be shaken before every
operation, but be sure to shake them when installing new ones.
If ink components precipitate, it will not be possible to print with correct colors. So that the ink
mixes well, shake the pouch tray horizontally with a stroke length of 5 cm (2 in.) from each end
of the pouch tray.
The components in the white ink have a tendency to precipitate. Be sure to perform the above
operation prior to starting the day's work. The deposits may harden and cause problems including
printer malfunctions if left alone for an extended period of time.
IMPORTANT
Do not remove the ink pouches. Shake the entire pouch tray. Removing the ink pouches
may lead to the ink leaking.
Before shaking, wipe o any ink from around the mouth of the ink pouch. If you do not
wipe o the ink, it may splatter when you shake the pouch tray.
When you have nished mixing the ink, reinsert the pouch tray immediately. Taking
time to reinsert the pouch tray will adversely aect the ink path.
Even if you rarely use white ink, shake the pouch tray for the white ink 50 times (about
20 seconds) once a week.
