Playing the Drum Kit
Using a hi-hat control pedal (FD-8; FD-7, or FD-6), you can control the opening and closing of the hi-hat
sound.

Open Hi-Hat:
Strike the hi-hat without pressing the pedal
Half Open Hi-Hat:
Strike the hi-hat with the pedal pressed half-way
Closed Hi-Hat:
Strike the hi-hat with the pedal pressed
Foot Closed:
Completely press down the pedal
The volume of The Foot Closed sound can be adjusted separately. (p. 42).
• Connect the hi-hat control pedal to the TD-3 before turning on the power.
• Do NOT press the pedal when turning on the power.
