When using a device such as a Home Theater or Amplifier with external speakers, you can set
Internal Mute to On to cut off sound from the TV's internal speakers.

Press the MENU button.
Press the _1or • button to select
"Sound", then press the ENTER
button.
Press the • or • button to select
_d "Internal Mute", then press the
ENTER button.
Press the • or • button to select
"On", then press the ENTER button.
Pressing the • or • button will
alternate between "Off" and "On".
Select "Return" by pressing the
• or • button, then press the ENTER
button to return to the previous menu.
Press the EXIT button to exit.
NOTES
" The VOL +, VOL - and MUTE buttons do not operate when the
Internal Mute is set to On.
• When Internal Mute is on, only the Multi-Track Options menu is
available in the Sound menu.
" To watch TV with an external speaker system such as a home
theater system, set Internal Mute to On. To watch TV with the
internal speaker or to record video with a VCR through AV OUT
of the TV, set Internal Mute to Off.
