Focusing methods
Changing the Focusing methods
Various focus methods can be set according to the subject of
photographing.

In Shooting mode, press [MENU].

Select Shooting 2 (

) → AF Mode → an
option.
Single AF
If the focus is set by pressing half-way of the
[shutter], fix the focus to that position.
Continuous
AF
While holding the [shutter] half-way down, the
focus is continuously fixed appropriate for the
subject.
Manual
Focus
Adjust the focus manually by turning the focus ring.
Changing the focus area
A clear and vivid picture can be taken if the focus area is changed in
relative position to the subject.

Selection
AF
The focus is set appropriately for the selected area.
Multi AF
Shows all the places that the focus is set correctly
in the display.
Face
Detection
AF
Shows the areas that the focus is correctly set in
the display.
Self-
Portrait AF
When the sound effect is heard at the time of self-
shot, you can check the position of the subject's face.
UÊ ÞÊÕÃ}ÊÌiÊVÌÀÊiÛiÊvÊ[AF/MF], the focus can
be adjusted manually.
UÊ 7iÊÌiÀiÊÃÊÊÉÊÃÜÌVÊÊÌiÊiÃ]ÊÌiÊvVÕÃÊ
can be adjusted manually in the AF mode by selecting
the Manual Focus.
