EXAMPLE 4.2 Telnet Serial Encapsulation—ACSELERATOR QuickSet
The SEL-2890 encapsulates serial communications in a
Telnet session over the Ethernet network. This allows you to
use a network connection rather than dial-up or other serial
leased lines to communicate with serial devices including SEL
relays. This example explains the configuration of the
Communications Processor, SEL-2890, and Relay settings.
First, assume that you have installed the
ACSELERATOR
QuickSet software on the PC shown in Figure 4.3.
