Also, make sure the cables at the base of the mast and back of the console are securely connected and properly oriented, ensuring the small latch on the connector lines up and snaps into place. Check the console display for cracks or other damage, and replace the console if damaged.

  To troubleshoot a drive train click or tick noise that occurs once per full crank revolution on your Schwinn Elliptical Trainer, disconnect the left and right foot assemblies and rotate the crank. If the sound persists, replace the crank/pulley assembly. If the sound doesn't come from the rotating crank, check the foot assemblies and upper/lower handlebars. Manually move the Pedal, Leg, and Handlebar assemblies to isolate the sound and replace the part making the noise. Also, tightly secure all hardware on the Rail Assembly and the base of the Console Mast.
