5.4 Establishing power supply
Power is supplied to the scales either using batteries or
with a power pack available as an accessory.
Inserting the batteries You need 6 batteries, type AA, 1.5 V (included in scope
of supply).
1. Press on the latch of the battery compartment.
2. Swing down the lid of the battery compartment.
3. Remove the battery holder.
4. Insert the batteries in the holder.
NOTE
Observe correct polarity of batteries (markings
in battery holder). Should the display read bAtt,
you have inserted one of the batteries the
wrong way round or they are flat.
5. Replace the holder with the batteries in the battery
compartment.
6. Close the battery compartment.
Connecting the power
pack (optional)
The scales can be operated with a power pack avail-
able as an accessory. Two types of power pack are
available, one with plug adapters and one with a fixed
Euro connector.
WARNING!
Using the wrong power packs may cause bodily
injury or damage to the device
Conventional power packs may deliver a higher
voltage than is indicated on them. The scale
may overheat, catch fire, melt or short-circuit.
– Use only original seca plug-in power packs
with a 9 V or controlled 12 V output voltage.
1. If required, insert the power supply connector nec-
essary for your power supply into the power pack.
