4.2 Product probe
As indicated above (section 4.1), the product probe will give us the tempera-
ture readings inside the package in which it is inserted, these temperature
values used to count the time that the product is subjected to as scheduled,
as long as you are in product probe mode.
4.3 Preparation of the control jar
1. Use a container with the same characteristics as the load to be treated.
2. Place the tip of the product probe in the center of the control container
in case of solid products and ¾ of the can’s base height in case of liquid
products.
3. Place the control container in the center of the upper basket.
Note: Make sure that no water enters inside the jar.
Remember:
For the Fo calculation to be valid, the “heart”
(or “product”) probe must be inside a sample
container.
