6.7 PRINTER PROBLEMS
If the printer option has been enabled (section 6.5) the instrument will attempt
to transmit the printout headings as soon as the print reading has been
entered (by pressing the ENTER key in measure mode). Whilst the
transmission takes place the word "busy" will appear in the display. If the
printer is disconnected, is turned off or has some other problem the
transmission will not take place and the word busy will remain until the printer
problem has been corrected or the CLEAR key is pressed.
If the word "busy" appears check that the printer is OK. (ie no paper jam
etc), check that it is on line, check the cable and connections, and check the
printer set up.
If the printout takes place but not correctly, check that both the printer and
SI9500 are set to the same baud rate and that the printer is set to the data
format as given in section 6.4.
