UNIT DESCRIPTION
The ASM 988A is a satellite modulator. This unit uses an advanced coding in the FEC
layer to operate near Shannon’s theoretical limit of bandwidth efficiency. This unit
accepts a M2P, DVB-SPI, DVB-ASI input transport stream and produces up to a 30
Mbaud modulated signal agile about 70 MHz.
FEATURES
User Interface and Remote Control
Front Panel access (Vacuum-Fluorescent Display and Keypad) to modes, parameters
and status information.
RS232, and 10BaseT Ethernet connections for configuration, monitoring and control.
Relay contact outputs for fault monitoring and automated redundancy switch control.
