After unpacking your fax, make sure you have all the items shown below. If any are

Keep the fax away from air conditioners, heaters, direct sunlight, and dust.
Provide easy access to the front, back, and sides of the fax. In particular, keep
the area in front of the fax clear, or the original document mayjam as It comes
out after scanning.
If the fax is moved from a cold to a warm place, it is possiblethat condensation
may form on the reading glass, preventing proper scann[ngof documentsfor
transmission. To removethe condensation, turn on the power and wait
approximately 2 hours before using the fax.
If your area experiences a high incidence of lightning or power surges, we
