      An odor from your Sharp Air Cleaner could be due to heavily soiled filters or ozone emissions. Check the filters and replace them if they are heavily soiled. Also, be aware that Plasmacluster Air Purifiers emit small traces of ozone, which may produce an odor.

      If the Plasmacluster Ion Indicator on your Sharp Air Cleaner isn’t lighting up, first check if SLEEP mode is selected, as the light turns off 3 seconds after SLEEP mode is activated. Also, check if the Plasmacluster Ion is OFF. Press the button for 3 seconds to turn it On. Finally, ensure that the Light Control is not OFF; press the button for 3 seconds to turn it On.
