Misfeed removal:
A
paper
misfeed
may
occur
at
one
of
three
locations:
(A)
in
the
ADF
tray,
(B)
in
the
exit
area,
or
(C)
under
the
transport
belt.
(A)
Press
the
ADF
release
button
and
pull
the
original
gently
to
the
right
and
out
from
the
ADF
tray.
e
Be
sure
to
open
and
close
the
ADF
cover
to
cancel
the
misfeed
location
indicator.
(B)
Pull
the
original
gently
to
the
right.
e
Be
sure
to
open
and
close
the
ADF
cover
to
cancel
the
misfeed
location
indicator.
(C)
Simply
open
the
ADF
cover
and
remove
the
original.
@
A
number
will
appear
on
the
copy
quantity
display,
indicating
the
number
of
originals
that
must
be
returned
to
the
ADF
tray.
Return
the
originals
and
press
the
print
button
to
resume
copying.
e
Remove
the
misfed
original
by
pulling
it
in
the
direction
indi-
cated
by
the
arrow.
Do
not
pull
in
any
direction
other
than
that
indicated
by
the
arrow.
User maintenance
@ Stains in the area of the ADF indicated by the arrow marks will
also be copied.
Wipe this area of the ADF with a soft, clean cloth.
e
If
necessary,
dampen
the
cloth
with
water.
Do
not
use
thin-
ner,
benzene,
or
similar
volatile
cleaning
agents.
