This manual provides essential information for the operation of the MF5806E1 medical oxygen mass
flow meters for hospital and homecare oxygen therapy
applications. The product performance,
maintenance, and trouble-shooting as well as the information for product order, technical support,
and repair are also included.
Oxygen therapy can be dated back to 1887 that has been used as a therapy for several cases in
particular respiratory-related diseases. As of today, the control of the oxygen delivery is via pure
mechanical rotameters which are based on volumetric metrology and have very low accuracy. In
addition, it also requires heavy attendance by the administrator, often a nurse, to initialize, monitor,
and conclude the progress which is all done manually.
The MF5806E1 is designed to be a significant improvement of the oxygen therapy process into a
fully automatic with remote data and execution. The precision control via an oxygen mass flow
meter is enabled with the company’s proprietary MEMS (micro-electro-mechanical systems) thermal
calorimetric sensing technology. The wetted materials of the products are compatible with medical
oxygen. The current model is the 3
rd
generation of the products having significantly upgraded
features since its first release in 2014. The upgrade includes much-improved accuracy and integrated
LoRaWAN wireless data. The software running over the LoRaWAN network provides both
