5 COMMISSIONING
5.2 Safety switch
The IME2S safety switch is operated with 24 V DC and provides a signal when the protec-
tion hood is open (end position).

5.2.1 Signal release for laser scanner
▸ The signal for the laser scanner may only be released when the protection hood has
reached the end position.
▸ The signal of the safety switch must be switched with a logic operation.
If both are fulfilled, the release (e.g. for a move command) takes place and the laser
scanner is active.
