2.7 Mandatory symbols
Mandatory symbols indicate a measure required to protect personal health and / or avoid
the risk of personal injury.
Mandatory symbols on the system must not be removed or covered. If mandatory symbols
(labels) are missing, these must be affixed. Damaged symbols must be replaced.

Disconnect before maintenance or repairs
WARNING
Hazard due to hand injuries caused by crushing
When working on the protection hood, disconnect the voltage supply and
secure it against being switched on again.
Wear appropriate safety gloves.

Invisible laser radiation on safety laser scanner
Laser class 1M
The accessible laser of the safety laser scanner is not hazardous as long as the
beam cross section is not reduced by optical instruments, such as magnifying
glasses, lenses, telescopes.
The curved part of the optics cover is the outlet for the laser radiation.
The laser marking is located on the underside of the safety laser scanner.
You must comply with the latest version of the applicable laser safety regula-
tions.

operating instructions of the safety laser scanners.
