4.7 CHECK THE STABILITY OF THE TRACTOR-MOWER
COMBINATION
INSTABILITY AND OVERTURNING HAZARD
The weight of the mower changes the stability of the tractor-shredder unit,
inuencing the ability of steering and braking. As such proceed at a moderate
speed. In particular, it must be borne in mind that the front axle must always be
loaded with at least 20% of the weight of the tractor-mower combination.
Check the lifting capability and tractor stability using the following formula and, if
necessary, apply ballasts on the front.
