In accordance with the harmonizing agreement of the
countries of the European community, the national
specifications of the countries are in line with IEC publication
No.298; In addition to this, the following specifications
regarding resistance to accidential arcing are met:

Climate and ambient conditions
The switchgear may be used, subject to possible additional
measures, under the following climate classes and ambient
conditions:
Climate classes 11,12,13.
The climate classes are based in IEC publication 72-3-3 and
Siemens standard SN 29070 part 1 and are defined as
follows.
-Climate class 11
Room in building with good thermal insulation or high
thermal capacity heated or cooled, normally only the
temperature is monitored, e.g. in normal living room,
offices, shops, telecommunication exchanges, storage rooms
for sensitive products.
-Climate class 12
Room in building with good thermal insulation or high
thermal capacity heated or cooled, without temperature
monitoring, heating or cooling subject to failure over seceral
days, e.g. unattended relay, booster or transformer starions,
stables, motor vehicle repair shops, manufacturing rooms for
unfinished products, hangars.
-Climate 13
Rooms in building without significant thermal insulation and
with low thermal capacity, neither heated or cooled, e.g.
telephone booths, entrances of buildings, barns lofts,
unheated srote rooms, sheds, garages.
Ambient conditions:
-Nnatural pollutants
-Chemical active pollutions
-Small animals

A rating plate containing the particular data (Fig.6) is fixed
to the inside of each panel door of the LV compartment
cubicle. The withdrawable vacuum contactor has its own
rating plate and rated of vacuum contactor does not mean
the rated current of vacuum contactor does not mean the
rated current of the panel.
