Preparing installation for
4MT3 and 4MU1
! Isolate and earth the busbar.
! Verify safe isolation from supply.
! Apply a uniform film of mounting paste to the silicone bushing of the voltage
transformer.
! Insert the silicone bushing in the voltage transformer.
! Remove surge-proof caps from the outside-cone bushings.
! Earth the connecting lug of the capacitive layer of the outside-cone bushing.
! Apply a uniform film of mounting paste to the outside-cone bushing.
! Voltage transformer type 4MT3: If not yet pre-assembled, mount the adapter plate
on the voltage transformer.
ATTENTION!
Risk of partial discharges at the voltage transformer bushings due to pollution.
! Clean all bushings at the panel and at the voltage transformer carefully before
starting installation work.
! Observe extreme cleanliness while working.
ATTENTION!
Risk of partial discharges at the outside-cone bushing.
! Make sure that the connecting lug of the capacitive connecting point of the outside-
cone bushing is earthed.
