System Classifications
 Type of protection against electrical shock:
Class I, external powered
 Degree of protection against electrical shock:
– Type BF applied part for ECG and endocavity, linear, curved, and phased array
transducers
– Type B applied part for eSieFusion transducer sensors and needle tracking sensors
– Type CF applied part for ACUSON AcuNav ultrasound catheters
– Defibrillation-proof applied part for ECG and ACUSON AcuNav ultrasound catheters
 Degree of protection against harmful ingress of water:
Ordinary equipment
 Degree of safety of application in the presence of a flammable anesthetic material with air
or with oxygen or nitrous oxide:
Equipment not suitable for use in the presence of a flammable anesthetic mixture with air
or with oxygen or nitrous oxide
