Communication Load and Cycle Extension
When using the CP 443−1 Advanced, the influence of PROFINET CBA on the
cycle time of OB1 is slight. The influence depends on the number of
PROFINET CBA partners and on the number of PROFINET CBA interconnections.
Comparison of the CPU and CP 443−1 Advanced
From the documentation on the CPU 317−2 PN/DP, you can, for example, see the
influence as represented in the following graphic. Lines 1 and 2 show this influence
when the CPU interface is used for PROFINET CBA.
The additional line in the graphic shows the influence when you use the
PROFINET CBA interface of a CP 443−1 Advanced in an S7−400 station.
It can be seen that in contrast to operation over a CPU network attachment, the
OB1 cycle remains practically uninfluenced by the CBA communication if
PROFINET CBA is operated over a CP 443−1 Advanced.
