Test reports
6 Test reports
6.1 General
A test report must be compiled for each acceptance test fire which includes the
following information:
Location, date and time of the test
Test participants
Purpose of test
Test set-up with system data
Test result, assessment
Conclusions from the test
A copy must be deposited in the system file at the customer's premises.
6.2 Assessment
The aim of each acceptance test fire is to trigger an alarm in the installed fire
detection system with as small a fire as possible.
Î If the system signals an alarm while the fire is burning or immediately after
it has burned out, the system is in correct working order!
Î If the system does not signal an alarm, it does not meet requirements.
If this is the case, the causes must be found and remedied:
Are the fire detector parameters correct?
Is the exchange of air greater than assumed?
Is the quantity of combustible material correctly calculated?
When the cause has been remedied the acceptance test fire must be repeated.
If the cause cannot be easily found, we recommend recording the raw data of
the detectors during the test and subsequent analysis of the data. This is
possible, for example, with the Sinteso™ Data Recorder.
The time required until the alarm is triggered is of secondary importance!
The size of the test fire required for triggering the alarm is much more important!
