5.1.3 Removing and installing the housing cover when the power
supply is switched off
Damage to electronic components in the aspirating smoke detector
● When working on the open aspirating smoke detector, use anti-static floor
mats and anti-static work surfaces.
●
Ground yourself immediately before opening the housing, e.g. by touching a
ground point or wearing an anti-static belt.
When the housing cover is removed, you have access to:
The fixing screws
The cable entry
All the mechanical components
The electrical connections
The rear of the front indicator
Removing the housing cover
