Step by Step
PING test
Ping causes a selected IP address to be pinged and in-
dicates whether the device at the selected address is
responding or not.
Enter the Administration menu. Access page 17.
Select "Diagnostics".
Select "PING test".
Enter destination IP address (Text input see
page 41).
or
Click softkey to open drop down list of destination IP ad-
dresses.
The Configured Destinations drop down list includes
destinations from the following that have configured
values in the database:
• Default route page 30
• Directory server 1 – typically the user’s PC
• Directory server 2 – typically the administrator’s PC
or other server
• Download server page 20
• Route 1, Rout 2 gateway and target page 29
• This phone page 27
Click Softkey to select destination.
Click softkey to confirm destination.
Click softkey to start the test.
The display shows e.g.:
"PING test to: 137.223.246.22 in progress. Please wait".
After the test the result is shown, e.g.:
"PING test to: 137.223.246.22 responded successfully.
Response time = 20 ms"
or
"PING test to: z. B. 137.223.246.22 failed. No response"
