Adjusting the transmission
Proceed as follows:
1. Make sure that
the sensors are properly aligned (sensor alignment procedure has been successfully completed) and that
all connections between the central unit and sensors (optical and electrical cables) are properly established.
2. Connect a multimeter to pin 1 (GND) and 2 (Signal) on the sensor board (see figure 2 for the standard board and figure
3 for the ATEX/IECEx board).
3. Set the multimeter to AC voltage mode.
4. Use the screwdriver to adjust the potentiometer on the detector module (see figure 1) such that the multimeter readings
are within the range shown in the "Multimeter readings [mV RMS]" column of either table.
The maximum allowed value represents the saturation limit.
5. On the central unit start LDSComm and navigate to the appropriate channel menu (
Instrument Channels / Ch1 (2 or 3) /
Transmission tab
).
Make sure that the absolute transmission level is below 400.

The table below applies to all applications except "

" which are represented in table 2.
