Timeout for external calls

The "timeout for external calls" feature defines a time
"credit" for an extension to make external calls. In other
words, when the total time of the external calls made
reaches the time limit set for calls underway, these calls
will be interrupted and no further calls may be made un-
til more time "credit" is awarded.
Required: This feature must have been configured and
activated for the extension.
j Enter an external number.
w [ Wait for the call to be answered. Start conversation.
w The time count set for the extension is started.
\ The call is disconnected once the specified time has
elapsed.

Calls may also be interrupted if the extension has
been configured with these features:
• ”Timer for outgoing external calls”
Æ page 43, the timeout stops counting.
• "Billing for an extension" – the call will only
be started or can continue if the time and
credit limit have not been reached.
For simultaneous calls, call times will be counted
separately.
If the call ends before a cycle is complete, the
time will be counted as if the call had completed
a 5-second cycle.
