6. Then click the "Properties" button.
The Properties window for Internet protocol version 4 opens. Configure the
properties as follows:
a. Set the option to "Use the following IP address".
b. Enter the "IP address" intended for the PC.
c. Enter the "Subnet mask" intended for the PC.
d. Enter the "Default gateway".
7. Then click the "OK" button.
8. When you have edited the properties, click "OK" in this dialog box and in the
next.
Result
You have entered the IP address and the corresponding standard gateway in all
the PCs. The PCs need these settings to communicate with remote subnets.
