The devices are "open equipment" acc. to the standard IEC 61010‑2‑201 or UL 61010‑2‑201 /
CSAC22.2 No.61010‑2‑201. To fulll requirements for safe operation with regard to
mechanical stability, ame retardation, stability, and protection against contact, the following
alternative types of installation are specied:
• Installation in a suitable control cabinet protected against electric shock and spread of re
• Installation in a suitable protective housing protected against electric shock and spread of
re
• Installation in a suitable closed control room protected against electric shock and spread of
re
WARNING
Damage in the event of improper use
The protection oered by the device can be impaired if the device is used dierently to the
description in section Proper use (Page7).
The device cannot be opened and repaired independently in the event of a fault; see Fault
(Page10).
WARNING
If the temperature at the cable or housing socket or at the branching points of the cables
exceeds 60°C, special precautions must be taken. If the equipment is operated at ambient
temperatures in excess of 40 °C, only use cables with permitted operating temperature of at
least 80 ℃.
