Result: STEP7 automatically creates both 1515R-2PN CPUs for the redundant system. STEP7
displays both CPUs in the network view graphically.
NOTE
Deleting CPUs from the hardware configuration
You can only delete the two CPUs as a pair.

Open the CPUs in the device view. In the device view, the first CPU and the second CPU are
each in slot 1.

Give the CPUs unique names under Properties.
2. Assigning IP addresses (deviceIP addresses)
STEP7 automatically assigns an IP address to each PROFINET interface of a CPU. You can also
assign the IP addresses manually.
For PROFINET interface X1 of the CPUs, the IP addresses must be located in the same subnet.
The IP address is displayed in the CPU properties, in the "PROFINET interface [X1]" area of the
"IP protocol" section.
